Children’s Ministry Overview
At Kaysville Bible Church, we believe the Bible is for the whole family. Therefore we endeavor to teach the Bible to the next generation so that our children might know and trust in the true God. Below is an overview of the avenues that we use to teach the truth to the next generation.
Sunday Mornings:
- Nursery: Infants–3 year olds
- Sunday School (9:30am): 3 year olds–6th grade
- Children’s Church (during sermon); 2-4 year olds and 5-8 year olds
- Treasure Keys for Kids Handouts – A sermon note guide provided to children who sit through the Sunday morning Bible exposition.
Wednesday Evening During the School Year:
- Adventure Club: 3 year olds–6th grade
Summer:
- Vacation Bible School: K–6th grade
Adventure Club At KBC
Adventure Club is a midweek Children’s program with a curriculum aimed at teaching children essential Bible doctrine. This is a great complement to our Sunday morning curriculums that goes through the Bible chronologically focusing on the narrative storyline.
Over nine years (three cycles), children will come to understand all essential doctrines:
- Year 1: The Truth about God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
- Year 2: The Truth about Man, Sin, and Salvation
- Year 3: The Truth about the Church, the Bible, and End Times
Each week, all age groups will learn the same lesson and will memorize Bible verses in keeping with the theme of the lesson. In this way, children will learn verses that reinforce the truth they learned in the lesson. In small group time (book time), leaders will not only listen to verses but also ask questions about the verses and lessons. The leader books provide questions and answers that help facilitate these conversations. This also helps reinforce the importance of knowing and understanding what the Bible teaches.
